Now here is a truly unique gift idea for special friends of any age. Gracie Greene is a one of a kind doll, quite endearing and custom made, while at the same time making a statement about recycling and our environment.
This line of custom, hand-made dolls was inspired by the need to make all of us think green. Each doll is made from 100% recycled and recyclable materials. Hand-crafted means you can choose the fabrics, hair color and accessories. Every face is hand painted, making every doll a unique creation. You can even choose the one that best represents you or the person you are gifting one to.
Trashion Dolls is the northern New Jersey company that produces Gracie Greene dolls, using items such as hand woven newspaper, scouring pads, plastic caps and other recycled materials. The company was conceived as a way to empower children about recycling and to show them that they could use common, everyday items to dress their dolls thereby using their imagination.
Gracie Greene dolls also appeal to adults and are even created for special theme events.
A percentage of the profits is donated to a American Assistance in Cambodia, where Trashion Dolls is raising money to build a school in a rural village as a means to educate the children and keep them out of poverty and trafficking. For every doll sold 10% of the cost will be donated to American Assistance for Cambodia, Girls be Ambitious.
