The Kearny Halloween Parade will take place at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 28, 2012. Kearny residents, businesses, civic and social organizations, schools, and all those in costume are welcome to march in the parade. Registration forms are available at the Kearny Recreation Department.
Children pre-registered for the costume contest and marching in the parade will assemble at 1:00 pm at Washington School, located at the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Belgrove Drive, for the highly anticipated costume judging event sure to provide a great time featuring fun, treats and prizes for children. Costume judging will begin at 1:15 pm.
Theparade will start at 2:00 pm on Kearny Avenue at Duke Street, and travel north past the town hall. Parade committee of volunteers will be outfitted with black sweatshirts. Children and their families are invited to come out and take part in the festivities. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. No bikes or skateboards are allowed along the parade route.
