Columbia Bank has announced that Margaret “Margie” Hochkeppel has been promoted to Branch Manager in charge of their community branch office in Hawthorne, NJ located at 496 Lafayette Avenue.
Mrs. Hochkeppel joined Columbia in 2003 as a part-time Teller in the bank’s Pompton Plains branch and was later promoted to Customer Service Representative.
In 2005, she was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager at the bank’s Fairfield branch and relocated to the Hawthorne branch when it opened in 2007.
A well-known figure in banking, business and community affairs, Mrs. Hochkeppel is an active member of the Hawthorne Rotary Club. She also serves as a volunteer for the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce, Eva’s Kitchen and as a member of Columbia’s financial literacy team that teaches basic money management skills to local students.
She and her husband, William, live in Kinnelon. They have two children.
